My Hair Growing Hair Routine THAT WORKS
Step 1: Oiling
Oiling the hair isn’t necessary every time you wash it. You can do this as much as you please, just not more than once a week. This is great for getting oils that hair stripped back into the bottoms of your hair. Curly hair is so dry because oil has a hard time moving down it from your scalp.
I USE: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Rosehip Oil
Step 2: Wash
It’s not necessary to wash your hair with shampoo every time you wash it. Co-wash is a thing that’s awesome if your hair is dry enough! Basically, you use conditioner to s=clean your scalp instead of shampoo, which can strip it. I use a regular shampoo around 3 times a month and co-wash other times! Focus the shampoo only on your scalp, never the ends!
I USE: Head and Shoulders Green Apple Shampoo
Step 3: Condition
Conditioning is super necessary for your hair. You need to put that moisture back into it. I leave the conditioner on for at least 3 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
I USE: Hempz Vanilla & Plum restorative conditioner
Step 4: Brush
I personally prefer brushing or combing my hair when it’s wet and conditioned because it’s waaaaay too hard when it’s dry. Its really important for curly haired girls to brush their hair because hundreds of your hairs fall out daily, but with curly hair the dead hairs just stay in your hair. You have to brush them out or they’ll just had to the knots and tangles!
I USE: Wet brush, Wide tooth comb
Step 5: Products
It’s really important that the products you use are alcohol free. You don’t want to use ingredients that make your hair worse over time.
I USE: Shea Moisture Shea Butter Deep Conditioner, Shea Moisture Kids Detangler, Shea Moisture Kids Curl Cream, Biolage Frizz Control Spray
Step 6: Diffuse
I actually recently discovered how awesome diffusing was. It makes you hair much less frizzy because air drying it means humidity gets into it but when you dry it while it looks nice, it stays that way! Make sure you use low heat and protect your hair from damage!
I USE: Hot Tools w/ included diffuse
