COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS: Day 3 of 7
TOP 5 CHRISTMAS MOVIES
So with the holidays just around the corner, you’re probably spending your time with the people you love. What better way to pass the time than a good Christmas movie! There are hundreds of Christmas movies out there and I honestly haven’t seen most of them. It’s so hard to find a good one, so I wanted to give you guys a concise list of movies that I can rewatch every year!

This movie is adorable. It’s about a little girl who lives at the Plaza hotel, a very fancy hotel, and all the misadventures she goes on there. It’s such a good movie and it’s fun to fantasize about what it would be like to live in the Plaza.

This has been a classic, cult favorite movie ever since it came out. Because of the hilarious characters and the quirky storyline, it’s easy to love this one. Elf is about a man who was raised by elves and then sets out to find him father after realizing he’s human.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. It’s funny, it’s fun, and it’s so easy to rewatch over and over again. It has a beautiful underlying message of how being an outcast makes you grumpy against other peoples happiness and if people accept each other, they can spread a little love.

This movie came out when I was in elementary school, and it was ll the rage. It’s still one of my favorite Christmas movies because of how magical it is. I remember watching this movie and imagining and believing that the Polar Express would come take me on Christmas Eve. Such a lovely, well made, fantasy.

I saw this movie in the theater and loved it so much. It’s different than your average Christmas movie because it’s darker and more twisted, and I love that. Another really beautifully made movie with a great underlying message, and a lot of thrilling moments, which you don’t get from most Christmas movies.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope I helped you decide what to watch tonight! I wanted to make a short list so maybe you can watch all these before Christmas!!
DAY 1- CHRISTMAS CAKE BALLS ❄︎ Easy, Cheap, Delicious
DAY 2- CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD
Thanks for this list. I haven’t seen any of these. “Elf” evidently got very good reviews, and “Eloise at Christmastime” looks interesting. The other three all received mixed reviews. Again, I haven’t seen these recent flicks, but I don’t see how you can beat the original animated Grinch movie with Boris Karloff’s narration. It’s a classic. And there are many older versions of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” that are probably much better than this 2008 version (the ones featuring Alistair Sim, Albert Finney, George C. Scott, and Mr. Magoo come to mind).
As an oldster, I urge you to check out these Xmas movies if you haven’t already: “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “Holiday Inn,” “White Christmas,” “Holiday Affair,” and the versions of the Dickens story I mentioned above. For recent flicks, there’s a little-known movie with Robert DeNiro called “Everybody’s Fine.” It got mixed reviews also, but DeNiro is fantastic.
